Ottawa University has a housing policy and all students are required to meet specific requirements in order to live off campus. The full policy is located in the Student Handbook; general requirements include:

Married;
Has dependent children as defined by Federal Regulations;
21 years of age by August 31 (fall) or January 31 (spring);
Classified as an academic senior prior to the start of the entering term.
Live with a parent and/or legal guardian within 45 miles of campus.
